Second Growth Landscapes
Second Growth Landscapes is the collaboration of two seasoned professionals in the Colorado landscape industry.
We are a small design/build outfit prepared to take on projects with unique challenges, recognizing necessity comes before aesthetics.
We also believe that a well designed and built landscape is the perfect compilment to Colorado's innate character.

This project involved replacing an older multi-leveled flagstone patio for a new single level paver patio, river rock under the decking, reusing property stone, and freshening up plant beds with new mulch.

A small hillside solution creating a ton of impact! Lawn re-graded for better usability and drainage, raised boulder bed with select plants providing subtle separation from the patio, and wide concrete steps for a modern tie-in and intentional transition.

Functional aesthetics! Capturing the style of the home through color and modern layout while maintaining the surrounding landscapes rugged charm.

A "lawn reduction" project. Removal of lawn space cuts down the water usage for a more water wise native pollinator garden.

Transforming steep hillsides into accessible stairways.

Sauna build, flagstone patios, and synthetic lawn provides a clean and recreational space for pets and owners.

Working with existing elements and elevations to create a more cohesive space between property lines and HOA requirements.

Starting Point Process
Have a project in mind? Call, text, or email us to gather some more information.
Sound like we're a good fit? We'll schedule an on site visit to meet you and your work space in person.
Measurements and photos are taken of the site and a concept plan is developed for presentation and approval (This process may take 2-4 weeks depending on the number of concept revisions and our current work schedule).
Do you enjoy the concept plan? We will price out the approved concept and provide and estimate proposal.
Does the estimate line up with your budget for the project? If so, we will send over a contract to secure your project a spot on our schedule. If not, we can revisit the concept to see were sensible changes can be made without compromising the overall ideas or see where a phasing approach will help preserve the whole scope.
Once the contract is signed, you can expect us to stay in touch as your project's start date approaches.
That's it! The hard part is done. Now it's up to us to put the ideas into an enjoyable installation experience.
